At Panama Sound, transparency is key to building trusting and professional relationships with the artists and bands we work with. This page serves as a central hub for all the essential documents and policies that govern the use of our studio, our services, and your data. We encourage all clients—whether booking a session or simply browsing—to review these documents before proceeding with a booking request.
Terms of Service
This document outlines the terms under which recording sessions at Panama Sound are provided. By booking a session or submitting payment, you agree to the following terms. If there is any conflict between this page and other site content, this document governs.
Ownership & Rights
All recordings, performances, compositions, and related works created during your session remain 100% yours.
Panama Sound makes no claim to your masters, publishing, or royalties.
No rights are retained, assigned, or implied.
Booking & Session Structure
Sessions are offered in two formats:
- 3-hour sessions
- 6-hour sessions
All sessions take place in a single, uninterrupted block and begin at the scheduled start time. Late arrivals do not extend the session.
Payment, Deposits, & Cancellations
- 3-hour sessions require full payment to reserve the date.
- 6-hour sessions require a deposit to reserve the date, with the balance due at session end.
Payments and deposits are non-refundable.
Rescheduling is permitted with at least 72 hours’ notice, in which case payments may be transferred to a new date.
Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice, or no-shows, result in forfeiture of all payments made.
Studio Conduct
Clients and guests are expected to behave respectfully and safely.
Panama Sound reserves the right to end a session immediately, without refund, if conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful.
Clients are financially responsible for damage to studio equipment caused by negligence or misuse.
Personal Equipment
Clients may bring personal instruments or gear.
Panama Sound is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Clients are responsible for their own equipment insurance.
Deliverables
Session deliverables include a stereo mix and any additional files agreed upon during the session.
Files are delivered digitally. Mastering, if requested, is a separate service with its own delivery timeline.
Liability
Clients use the studio at their own risk.
Panama Sound is not liable for personal injury, lost property, or interruptions caused by events beyond reasonable control. While reasonable safeguards are in place, the studio is not responsible for data loss resulting from catastrophic failure.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the studio constitutes acceptance of the current version.
