Technical details get handled quietly in the background so you can stay focused on performance, while production decisions get made in real time, guided by taste and restraint rather than second-guessing.

What a Session Looks Like

Sessions scale to what the material needs, from a focused single-song session to a full day of tracking and production.

A shorter session — around the 4-hour minimum — tends to work best for prepared artists with clear goals: solo artists and singer-songwriters, tight bands tracking live, or a single song. A typical run looks like fast setup and soundcheck, focused tracking, and a real-time mix and delivery to close things out. The energy is concentrated, efficient, decisive.

A longer session — about 6-hours, gives you room to explore arrangement, layer parts, and refine performances without losing momentum. It’s a good fit for artists still developing material, layered productions, or bands that need overdubs or some production input along the way. A session usually moves through tone and mic selection, live tracking or laying foundations, overdubs and editing, and a final mix and export. The energy here is relaxed, intentional, immersive.

Because it’s all billed hourly, you only pay for the time you actually need.

Recording Approach

How we actually record adapts to the project in front of us. For prepared bands, we’ll often track drums, bass, and rhythm instruments together to preserve that live energy while still keeping mix control.

For newer material or session work, we tend to build things in passes — starting with foundations and adding layers as the song reveals what it wants to be. Click tracks are entirely optional; the approach serves the song, not the other way around.
